White Wedding's are ok
On the heals of the homophobic response to the Spanx post the unthinkable happened last night. Team Possabilities unveiled its new team kits. New kits that feature that one color that always creates problems in all 50 states , Canada and Mexico.
White shorts always a staple of my sisters wardrobe in the 70's, a nice touch at your first wedding and a great color choice for all your major appliances. But for the love of god , white should never find it's way on any cycling shorts.
Thankfully the rainy season is behind us and we should not be subjected to the see though treats anytime soon. Podium pictures are another thing just remember its always 2 o'clock somewhere.

You want me to wear what ?
I never joined a fraternity in college. I was never on a girls soccer team and I still don't know what a free mason does. But I am sure there is some level of hazing to the new members in each of these organizations.
The 2ND Team Redlands clothing order has been distributed. I was looking forward to seeing some of the new guys out in the team kits. Big E, Fly Boy and Joey Tatto. What, there is a sizing problem ?
When I ordered I just blindly went with the Large kit because I am 6-1 and 175 pounds. In most American apparel I believe a Large would be in order. Since receiving my kit last year I have developed a eating disorder and am suffering from body dis morphia.
I recently contacted the clothing division of the Castelli cycling company. What I found was that the entire Team Redlands line of wear was in fact Euro junior sizing.
The error had occurred at the distribution point and in fact I should not have been able to fit into a large unless I was shopping from the Tyler Hamilton Keebler collection. Was this an error or was someone trying to weed out the fatties ?
So here's the deal unless you are prepared to drink laxatives and horse fizzy you need to go Oprah. Spanx once a secret of Hollywood's elite are now an option for the active male. Many Belgium cyclists are wearing Spanx and don't look now but I am aware of no less than 3 gentleman on the Saturday ride going Spanx.
Good luck Fly boy and Big E , hope to see you in your kit soon. When the lady at the Nordstroms counter asks you for help , just mention you want the "contador" .

Trek Travel
The above photo has not been re touched by anyone at Kodak. The picture was taken around 11:30 am today at the Disney concert hall located on the time trial course in downtown Los Angeles. This was the location of the VIP viewing area sponsored by Trek. They had free food and liquor.
Below is a photo taken at 3:46 PM , Trek employee of the month Greg Johnson can be seen leading a small group of us on a unplanned and impromptu adventure of the inner city. Greg is not associated with Trek Travel and was not authorized or trained in any form of tour guide work.
Here are the highlights and lessons of the trip:
In Southern California , when you ask someone where the Subway is located , they will point you in the direction of a Subway. The problem is we wanted to go to the Staples center not get a $ 5 dollar foot long.
Greg was employee of the month in October 2004.
Greg is not trained in map reading and his basic use of city slang is lost in translation.
China Town and Olivero street intersect, you can actually get a Pinata filled with egg rolls.
Milk is a really bad choice for a drink on a hot day.
Dan Reid and Johnny Barrios were the only real VIPs

The truth , the whole truth so help.....
The old saying goes you can always judge a man by his clothing or is the old saying dress for the job you want not the job you have.
Not to be controversial Floyd is wearing Nutria , Birkenstocks , Prada and a Swatch watch. I know that because he wrote a book , sold it for money and swore that everything in the book was 100 % true.
So maybe he is wearing YAK , Rolex , Flojos and some Ray Bans how would I ever know. Maybe he should write another book , swear its all true , yada yada yada.

On May 20, 2002 my mother Pat passed away after a long battle with colon cancer. My mother was not like me she never complained and you never knew she was in pain. 82 days later my sister Janet died of pancreatic cancer. She spent the end of her life helping her dying mother.
In 82 days that summer I lost half of my family. I used my humor, running, and coaching to cope with the loss. I had pictures of them on my bike later that year when I completed my first Ironman. To this day I think of them when I ride my bike.
Currently, you can visit the Trek Bikes site and create " I ride for stickers." I thought it was a cool idea, because 8 years later I still ride for them. I just wish I rode faster for them.
